Jerre is a native of Gadsden, Alabama, and attended the University of Alabama receiving a BFA in Graphic Design. She has used her talent in a wide variety of ways: Billboard layout and design, Medical graphics, Commissioned art pieces, Coupon artist, Custom jewelry, Theatre art/set painting, Pro bono art, Album art, Tee shirt design, Art instructor and Mother. Each has impacted and influenced her approach to her art. Still drawing traditionally she has also embraced digital art.
The Animal Alphabet was originally painted as a watercolor piece. While exploring virtually all types of art media she has helped encourage and promote art to her children and their friends, at her church kindergarten, at Eura Brown Elementary School through the “Moments with The Masters” program, and at Gadsden Middle School and Gadsden City High School through murals and the marching band (props). Please feel free to contact Jerre through the “Contact” page. "More Arts" has some sample pictures of her other works.
What the heck to do with this print? Well, some people thumb-tack it to the wall but most have it framed. Inexpensive poster frames work well in simple settings. The print is 22 3/8 inches tall by 34 3/8 inches wide and is printed on framing quality paper. Your choice really depends on the use, where you are putting it and how much you would like to spend. The most popular location is in a young child's room where it can be used to teach the alphabet and about animals.
We want to hear what You do with it !
Prior to mounting the print we recommend removing from the tube and rolling in the reverse direction and placing back into the tube for about 48 hours. Then if able, take it out and lay on a flat surface with something on top for a period of time. These steps will help reduce the curl in the poster. We do not roll them until shipment to reduce curling as much as possible.
Thanks !! Let us hear about what you
do with your Animal Alphabet print !
